Whatever happened to the Belkin wifi Skype phone?

It’s been in my Amazon cart, on pre-order,for at least 4 months. I saw on Ebay tonight it’s available in the UK, but wondering why it never came out here. Anyone have an ETA?

Most skype phone is just a USB version of speaker and headphone. The wifi version, sounds like something can work without PC, needs special “license” and special software from skype, which is not standard and may need update constantly. Make such phone cost much more than standard Voip phone (using SIP) and production delay is normal.
